Karim Rahme (aka Wen)

I'm the co-founder and CEO of Metorial, where we're building the infrastructure for companies to deploy, govern, and operate AI agents.
Metorial was part of Y Combinator's F25 batch, with Andrew Miklas as our partner. We're backed by over 40 investors, including Paul Graham.
I've learned from many mentors, like Jason Freedman of Orange Collective, who keep me honest about what matters: staying kind and humble, and giving back more than we take.
Before Metorial, I pursued a deliberately anachronistic education, triple-majoring in computer science, mathematics, and philosophy at NYU Abu Dhabi, an intimate liberal arts campus with students hailing from more than 120 countries.
I write essays, fiction, and codeāand have an immoderate fondness for the em dash, which LLMs won't take from me. I also have complete aphantasia: I cannot conjure images in my mind's eye. Nor do I have an inner monologue. That means I think in neither pictures nor words. I'm still not sure what's left.
I grew up in a small Austrian village. Naturally, I boulder, hike, and run.
